Pacific University Chamber Singers to join UCD Choral Scholars for January concert
Preparation underway ahead of January 18th Suaimhneas concert
The UCD Choral Scholars will perform alongside the Pacific University Chamber Singers on Thursday 18th January at 6.30pm in a joint concert entitled Suaimhneas. The concert will take place in St Ann’s Church on Dawson Street. The choirs will be conducted by both Desmond Earley of the UCD Choral Scholars and Scott Tuomi of the Pacific University Chamber Singers. The Pacific University Chamber Singers is comprised of 34 undergraduate students drawn from a diverse variety of disciplines across the Pacific University campus. Open through audition, the group seeks to explore a wide variety of repertoire drawn from diverse choral traditions including sacred and secular, ancient and modern, global and local. The group tours both nationally and internationally and has sung for audiences in North America, Europe and Asia. The ensemble perform music at the highest artistic levels, while engaging audiences through a variety of choral styles and techniques. Tadhg Brennan, Baritone with UCD Choral Scholars, says "Were all really looking forward to the upcoming concert with Pacific University Chamber Singers. The UCD Choral Scholars are both thrilled and excited to perform alongside these talented students. Tickets are €5 for students and €10 for adults and are available at the door.
